Polyester Braid on Braid Splice Polyester Braid on Braid Splice . . . . .
This splice is one of the easiest ways to splice Polyester Braid on Braid.
The advantage of this splice is that it only reduces a ropes breaking strain by approximately 10%, whereas a bowline can reduce the breaking strain by up to half!. The disadvantage is the increased diameter extending from the eye which could jam in a sheave/block.

Please Note: This Splice should not be used on materials such as Dyneema.
