Canyoning is huge fun and be warned it is physically quite demanding and high adrenaline!! Kitted out in helmets, buoyancy aids and wet suits you will follow the river down one of the magnificent gorges located in the famous waterfall country. Make your way down the gorge by tobogganing down chutes, walking under and jumping off spectacular waterfalls.
The Southern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park is where the activity takes place, one of the best locations in the UK to try canyoning.

Beach Games . . . . .
Designed to gently increase relaxation, physical and mental energies, we can provide a variety of beach games at very low cost. Volleyball in soft sand is an excellent physical stimulant combining team work, competitiveness, and a good work out. Beach Boule is low energy consumption but is great fun and very relaxing. Try our extreme beach Boule which is our secret and not for advertising on this web site!! There are also the old favorites of sand castle competitions, football, rounder's, cricket and beach combing.
Start the day with an hours activity on the beach and end it with another.

Now we were getting more adventurous but the choice is yours! Mix and match your activities and give the team a menu of activities to choose from. Go for a kayak with a kayak leader whilst others take a dip and learn water skiing or wake boarding. Yacht sailing is also an option if time or experience allows, alternatively take an instructor to show you the basics.

Either in the hotel grounds, local beach or at an indoor/outdoor archery center 5 minutes drive away. It is quite amazing how many people have not tried this sport and how entertaining it is.

Walking on the Gower or nearby Brecon Beacons

Walking . . . . .
A huge choice of walking is available from Oxwich either around the beautiful Gower peninsula or walking Wales highest mountain Pen Y Fan in the Brecon Beacons. From the Oxwich Bay Hotel it is an hours walk across miles of beach to the world famous Three Cliffs Bay and an hours drive to the Brecon Beacons National park. There is a huge variety of local walks from Farm, common, beach, cliff, hillside, woodland and riverside walks. We can provide the guides with the right knowledge and training to allow you to absorb every aspect of these fantastic walks.

The Oxwich Bay Hotel
Located on the south coast of the Gower Peninsula, the Oxwich Bay Hotel is set in eight acres of private grounds. All guest rooms are en suite and many enjoy sweeping views of the beach. All sea view rooms are recently refurbished to a very high standard. Meals are served daily in the comfort of our restaurant/bar with sea views. Weather-permitting, you can enjoy your meal/drink in our garden at the very edge of the beach.

Cottage Rooms . . . . .
Cottage rooms are located in three traditional cottages approximately 200m /two minutes walk from the hotel. Guests share each cottage in individual, en suite rooms. Breakfast and meals are served at the hotel daily. This is a lovely way to share cottage life with hotel catering facilities.
