Something fun for the children . . . . . . . . .
Why not give your children a holiday to remember and yourself a break! The course gives them an understanding of the basic principles of sailing, boat maintenance, rigging and storage and also a knowledge of rope-work and a basic understanding of tides and weather. Children can join the club from the age of eight and will be tutored by a qualified instructor in groups of 3 - 6 also giving them the chance to meet new friends.

Learn some basics in a one day intro - the fun way! . . . . . .Youth Stage 1
The fun boat is the perfect introduction to sailing, learn how to rig and launch the boat, set the sail and sail around the beautiful bay at Oxwich and then recover.

Two Day Course . . . . . . . . .RYA Adult Level 1/ Youth Stage 2
Three days will see you rigging the dinghy single handed, developing your rope-work and extending your knowledge of the sailing theory and background whilst giving you an understanding of the rules of the road. The practical sailing will involve tacking, gybing, getting out of irons, stopping and lying-to and ultimately sailing a figure of eight course across the wind under supervision. Concluding with capsize recovery. Theory covers naming the basic parts of the boat, understanding local hazards, basic rope work, understanding what action to take to help those in distress, meteorology and appropriate clothing and equipment.
